Central Cascades Brewing Co. is the passion project of a father & son from Cle Elum, Washington. Upon the success of their Blue Ribbon winning 'International Trainwreck Pale Lager', they asked me to help them build a logo, brand identity, and label for their tip of the spear beers. Pulling from Mt. Stewart, old school steam engine trains, and craftsman-styled typography I put together this piece.
Amazon Symphony Orchestra
Role: Branding, Logo Creation, Motion Design
Musically gifted Amazon employees come together to perform and share their love for music with the city of Seattle in the Amazon Symphony Orchestra. Playing an eclectic mix of classic and modern material, ASO wanted a visual identity that would match their unique musical point of view. Searching through symbols unique to music notation, I came across 'ff,' which means 'fortissimo' or 'play it loud,' and shaped an identity with this spirit in mind. This direction was one of three among finalists.

Napster needed branding for their editorial playlist and blog that would be distributed on their social channels and speak to what users would find in the app. The ask was to provide designs that updated the company aesthetic and personality. Inspired by Napster's history of disrupting the music industry, I mirrored that with glitch effects and hard edges. The unlimited texture and character found in the musical world is reflected by various shades of color-overlaying and diverse patterns as stylized sound waves.
Amazon added a new feature to their app named 'Spark.' Spark is a place where people can find, share, and explore their unique interests. They do this by posting images of products, tagging them, and making them searchable in a feed similar to Instagram. I chose a visual identity for the advertising campaign that highlighted the ability for people to connect with other like-minded people by choosing quirky products, and showing the conversations that go on around them.

Napster Hustle & Grind
Role: Jacket and Shirt design
To commemorate Napster's re-entry into the digital music space they wanted to highlight the company's fighting spirit with a run of specialty apparel to be available to the staff with a theme titled 'Hustle & Grind.' Napster wanted to celebrate a culture of hard work, perseverance, and scrappiness. With that in mind I pulled from historical design elements of classic American boxing gyms as well as traditional elements of Muay Thai kickboxing to bring together this collection.
Scout Site Refresh
Role: Landing Page Layout, Site Layout
The goal of the SCOUT website refresh was to take the homepage content and introduce new styles and arrangements to present products.
These styles included highlighting specific products, creating category specific areas of focus, as well as providing a gateway to journaled content expanding the experience of interacting with the brand.
The primary focus of the refresh would be to create a structure with solid pacing, bring buried content in the site up to the surface of the initial experience, as well as providing continuity between each section.

A typography based project put together under the instruction of Jeff Barlow while at The School of Visual Concepts. This project aimed to put together a book focused on pacing, grid, typographic hierarchy, leading, tracking, and fixed color system.

A brand identity project compiled at spec under the instruction of Ramon Vasquez at The School of Visual Concepts. The aim of this project was to take the retail store 'On Vacation' and provide it with a visual identity across all platforms. Creation of a way finding system for digital and physical space, establish a consistent look and feel that could still be flexible as the theme would change in store every two months. The first theme was 'Go West.'
